Maryland Legislature Could Soon Finalize Ban Of Foam Foodservice Products
March 19, 2019
Maryland's House of Delegates and Senate have both recently passed separate bills, House Bill 109 and Senate Bill 285, that would prohibit the sale of an expanded polystyrene food service product starting in July 1, 2020, subject to fines of $250.
Gov. Larry Hogan has yet to sign legislation, which may make the state the first in the U.S. to ban the plastic.
