India’s Vendekin Technologies Pty. Ltd. said it will be providing Fastcorp Vending LLC, a U.S. major machine manufacturer, with Vendekin’s Intelligent Vending Machine Controller, or IVMC, for Fastcorp’s Dream It Vend It, or DIVI, robotic merchandisers.
Vendekin founder and chief executive Aroon Khatter explained that his company’s technology enables a “cashless mobile experience at vending machines” without the need to download an app to the consumer’s smartphone. Vending patrons simply make mobile transactions by scanning a QR code with their camera on their smartphone.
According to Vendekin, the IVMC retrofits into traditional vending machines with a plug-and-play device without the need of 4G or 5G and thereby provides a seamless smart and touchless upgrade. Smartphones can be used to select and pay for up to five products in one transaction, reducing physical contact by about 95%.
The IVMC is compatible with MDB machines supporting with bill validators and card readers. Being VDI EVA DTA compliant, data can be ported wirelessly into any existing VMS.
Vendekin’s VMS covers the demands of an entire vending operation, including the management and automation of purchase orders, warehouse inventory, machine planograms, product pricing, service tickets and cash. It also features a dedicated app that allows operators to get key insights and data.
“We are excited to be able to provide the Vendekin touchless application to our customers and brands on our new DIVI equipment,” said Fastcorp vice president Colleen Morris.
