Apple Pay User Numbers Show Decline, Not Widespread Adoption

Aug. 6, 2015

Nearly a year after Apple Pay was launched, there hasn't been the widespread adoption the company hoped for. In fact, 2015 alone shows Apple Pay users are actually declining, reports PYMNTS.com. A survey done in conjunction with InfoScout reported that in March, 15.1 percent of eligible Apple Pay users had tried the service. When surveyed in June 2015 that had fallen to 13.1 percent. Usage fell as well with 39.3 percent of consumers having used Apple Pay in a transaction dropping down to 23 percent. There's even been a dip in reportedly "committed" Apple Pay users.
